President Report 2023/24 I have been involved at committee level at this club for its entire existence, and prior with Myrtleford Saints CC since I was 17 years old. A combined total of 11 years. The year that has gone I can honestly say the pure buy in at this club has been second to none. 2023/24 we tasted the ultimate success by winning two premierships, our first premiership coming from our A grade winning the Rod Newton Shield by 3 wickets · Read more

MISSION

To be an inclusive cricket club in North East Victoria that provides an environment for players, coaches and volunteers of all abilities to be the best that they can be.

HOW THE CLUB CAME TO BE

Whorouly Cricket Club and Myrtleford Cricket Club were two clubs with a long history of cricket success. Unfortunately, numbers were waning for both teams. In 2015 they came together and formed a new entity, Ovens Valley United Cricket Club. After two years discussions were started with Bright Cricket Club, and in 2018 they joined OVUCC. Now the club truly encompassed the entire Ovens Valley.

With numbers sorted the club set its sights for success. Although each grade was competitive throughout the years it wasn’t until 2020 when the club first tasted success, defeating Beechworth to become the T20 champions. The Club is still striving for it’s first end of season premiership.

The club’s proudest achievement though is its strong junior program. Currently there are 4 blaster programs, two under 12 teams, under 14’s and under 16’s. The future of cricket is looking bright in the Valley.
